more About Us
The Uniqueness of our culture
The Yoruba are distinctly known for music, defined by one of the most complex drumming cultures in the world. There are a lot of cultures in the world, and hundreds in Africa alone, but the global fascination with the Yoruba is not hard to understand.
The beauty of Yoruba language can be noticed in such class like Poetry (EWÌ, ÌJÁLÁ ỌDẸ, Ẹ̀SÀ EGÚNGÚN), Ancestral eulogies (ORÍKI ÌDÍLÉ) and so on and so forth.
The word “Yoruba” signifies many things. Among them are a distinct culture, religion, language, and lifeway. Yorubas are enterprising and diligent, and dominated the early political and public life of Nigeria on its founding as a nation after the amalgamation by the British in 1914 and independence in 1960.
The beauty of Yoruba language is well felt in the dynamic styles of knowledge, where we have; ÀKÀNLÒ ÈDÈ ( which is to show few of the common Idiomatic expressions used in Yoruba) ẸWÀ BABA ÈDÈ (which is Simile kind of expressions to feel the feedback or feelings of readers as to whether they’re flowing with the concept of the term or not), ÌLÙ ẸWÀ ÈDÈ (The Drumbeat, which highlights few out of many drumbeats of Yoruba culture and tradition) ẸSIN ÀTI ÀKÀWÉ Ọ̀RỌ̀ (which shows Proverbs and Comparatives of words spoken which are not basically Proverbs but have some in-depth meaning too), Ọ̀RỌ̀ ÀGBÀ ( which are words of wisdom by elders to pass vital messages across to advise the readers), Ọ̀RỌ̀ KÀǸKÀ (which highlights major emphasis on funny day to day occurrences using Yoruba words that are similar in pronunciations), Ọ̀RỌ̀ ŃLÁ (which highlights surprise happenings) Ọ̀RỌ̀ ÌSÍTÍ (which are compilation of pieces of advice to foster societal interaction and harmony), Ọ̀RỌ̀ ÌGBÀLÀ (this contains clarion calls to people to be closer to God for spiritual upliftment), ÌJÌNLẸ̀ Ọ̀RỌ̀ (which have deeper thoughts and pinch of spirituality attached to them), and ORÍKÌ ( Eulogy).
There are many unique aspects of Yoruba culture. These include the prominence of drumming in their music, their extensive use of wood in artwork, and their role in African history.

Contd. Tribute to the late Ambassador
He strategically brought together all Nigerians together in France and skillfully ensured the stoppage of issues around acquisition of passports and other immigration documents. Passport don’t take any longer to be collected as he brilliantly stopped frustrating encounters in the embassy.
He was an extremely down to earth man, softspoken , accessible, kind, and humble personality.
Many lovely things about him. His memory with us remains a blessing as he will forever be remembered for best representation and good reputation in his lifetime.
May his gentle soul continue to rest in perfect peace.
We hope to have someone who is as bold, competent, brave, and incorruptible, as Amb. Kayode as our New Ambassador. And we pray the wisdom, knowledge and understanding to lead aright shall be bestowed upon the upcoming Ambassador.
What we do as a foundation?
Testimonials from the folks who changed their lives – for better.
Yoruba cultural Heritage in France aim at promoting and showcasing the multiple beauties of the literature, arts and culture of Yoruba language and to place the mythology of Yorubas in the rightful place among the best the world reckons with in the history of legends. We believe that our plans for the Yoruba communities in France will go a long way to proffer enlightenment and support to them and to also embrace people of every race, skin, colour and nationality to be intrigued by the dynamicity of Yoruba culture and traditions.
